Credit Card companies charge retailer 5% for every purchase you make with a credit card. So a $1,000 purchase cost the retailer $50. The retailer passes this charge to you, the consumer.
Credit Card companies have a 20 day grace period, NOT a 30 day grace period. So when you make a purchase just after receiving a credit card bill, you will pay 10 days of interest before the next bill arrives.
