As we carry on our daily lives,
from moment to moment we celebrate the beginning of a New Year.
.

We celebrate a New Year that coincides with our seasons.

We help our Sun celebrate its' Solar New Year, while she dances around every 27 days.

We rotate to greet the Moon once every 25 hours (two peaks for tides), the Moon circles us every 27.32 days, while Full Moons (shadowing from the Sun) are separated by 29.53 days. So we celebrate the Moon's position with us (tides), relation to fixed stars, and her relationship with the Sun. A total of about 40 momentous celebrations each of our years.

We have both ours and our neighbor's New Years to celebrate. We meet our neighbors when they come closest to us, and when their seasons begin anew. We are part of their celebrations, and they of ours.

Solar Year
Mercury 87.96 Earth days
Venus 224.68 Earth days
Earth 365.26 days
Mars 686.98 Earth days
Jupiter 11.862 Earth years
Saturn 29.456 Earth years
Uranus 84.07 Earth years
Neptune 164.81 Earth years
Pluto 247.7 years

Billions of galaxies surround us, trillions of planets, stars, and other cellestial bodies that come nearest to us on what would be considered our yearly cycles, and theirs.

Much more often than 1/300,000 of one second we celebrate a New Year with one of our celestial friends.

We are more than a particle of dust in the Universe, we are part of the continuous celebration that the Universe provides.

From moment to moment I celebrate my kinship with the Universe.

For each moment and in a short while when our own seasons begin again
Happy New Year !!!
