The National Security Agency (NSA) monitors ALL organizations, including all clandestine organizations, whether domestic or abroad. The CIA, NIS, Air Force, Army, PLO, Greenpeace, All of our Politicians, all organizations. Anyone who has access to this information, runs the country, and controls our lives.
The important point here is that collecting the information is necessary and of little consequence, what specifically is done with that information is extraordinarily important. For example, what happened to the "missing" $12 Billion dollars the President provided for Iraq. Unfortunately, the current President is controlled by special interests.
The President & other powerful people currently have unrestricted access to the data collected by the NSA, which includes our personal information, including race, financial accounts, email, phone conversations, electronic surveillance, physical character, spending habits, concerns, ... to shape this country as those individuals desire, not as "We the People" desire.
Only a very few people currently provide NSA oversight: they are currently appointed and not elected, they represent special interests, as such they are a high risk for being corruptable, they are not formally trained in ethical evaluation, there are too few of them to provide adequate oversight of the NSA, they have no means of contributing productively to the NSA, and they have other duties so oversight is a secondary concern. The current system of oversight is set up intentionally to allow special interests to covertly direct data collection and gain access to "Classified" information.
They use the media to "push our buttons" to create fear and misdirect our attention away from their special interest projects and financial endeavors. As a consequence of their actions, they both erode our personal freedoms, leave us unnecessarily exposed to security threats, and hinder commerce that would flourish were it not for unethical business practices of their special interest companies. This results not from the information collected, but being allowed to use the information in whatever way they choose.
Don't you find it disturbing that the NSA monitors everything and yet they could not detect a $12 billion loss of US money provided for the reconstruction of Iraq? Whose pocket is that money going? Whose pocket did it come from? Why haven't they been forced to reimburse the US Government for products and services not delivered? Why haven't these thieves been exposed with significant monetary penalties? The NSA knows.
The American People require implementation of
State representation, including ALL states,
by a large and diverse Ethical Oversight Committee
to ensure the security of our Freedoms,
to monitor in detail NSA operations,
and
to determine how the information collected and derived by
the NSA shall best be used as it relates to National Security,
and to absolutely restrict this information
from any other purpose.
Who are these special interest groups? Big business to which the President is closely linked, this is just one website that exposes the connections.

Currently by necessity, the NSA covertly collects data about all of us, helping to maintain national security. Unfortunately it is not controlled by representative ethical public oversight and people in positions of power like the President have access to any and all information for their personal and special interests use. But to restate: the NSA by necessity must collect data about all of us to ensure clandestine special interests do not destroy our ecological systems, our economy, or our freedoms.
The Right of Personal Privacy and the Freedom to Explore Personal Interests unmonitored is ideologically a wonderful concept; in Pre-2000 time frames!
The following shows the trends of instability related to technology and the power of the individual here in the United States.
Before 1776 when our political structure was created, the most destruction an individual could incite was to collect a group of supporters, build an army, and control an area for themselves. Social and military technologies made this possible.
In the 1800's, an individual could conceive of an idea, get investor backing, and build anything they wanted without Government intervention. Steel mills polluted large areas of the environment for many decades and cleanup is on-going even today. Ungoverned industrial technology made this possible.
In the early 1900's, Hitler came into power. Millions of people died and thousands of years of artwork were destroyed. Works of many lifetimes of people were destroyed because of the centralized ideology of one person. How was he able to do so much with so little? Many nations new about Hitlers endeavors, but did little to avert his intended actions; no one knew how to deal with this new expression of technology. High tech development of his time, coupled with social and military stradegies.
In the 1950's, a high school student built a working nuclear weapon as a class project. Potentially, a teenager and a few radicals could have detonated a nuclear weapon in New York city killing millions of people. All the literature for building a nuclear weapon is available to the public. Though illegal, any electrical engineer can build one, this isn't even considered difficult today.
In the 1990's, researchers developed genetic poisons. Poisons that will only affect persons with a specific gene. Potentially, all persons of a specific demographic can be erradicated; without anyone knowing. A certain demographic would simply appear to be more susceptable to cancer or some other disease. The right to live taken by a group that no one knows about.
Around 2000, a research team near Chicago began developing a new nuclear technology dubbed "Total Anihilation". The attempt is to create a complex waveform that will disassociate the nuclear bonds of any atom and create vast amounts of clean power. This would release many trillions of times more energy per nuclear interaction than either a fission or a fussion. A tremendous gift to humanity if it works, providing for interstellar travel, comfort and food for all of humanity here on Earth or elsewhere, the ability to keep our Sun from dying, and products we can't presently imagine.
Or the devastation of our galaxy if it doesn't work as hoped. If the complex waveform propagates as a result of the energy released from breaking the nuclear bonds, and the mean free path for propagation is several feet, free floating hydrogen atoms in space are closer than that. A nuclear wildfire would ensue until the mean free path of propagation is less than the distance between free floating molecules out in space. We might not just kill ourselves, if there are other species in our galaxy, we kill them too. The right to live taken from everyone certainly on Earth, perhaps elsewhere as well.
What is the likelihood of this happening, hopefully the NSA knows enough to assign a task force to evaluate the risks!
Notice three concurrent conditions:
- the decreasing periods of time between potentially destructive developments
- the increasing destructive potentials of the developments
- the fewer individuals that need to be involved for the development of the destructive technologies
What research will someone be working on in another 10 years, 25 years, 50 years, 100 years?
Notice also, all this happened within the lifespan of 2 people. That's right, two people living to be 105 years old represent the time that all this has taken place. We are a prolific species, what a person learns to do today, will be used in some subversive way tommorrow. This is why we need the "Structure" of our political system to be innately ethical and stable.
Within the next 40 years we most likely will develop direct interfaces between the human mind and computer systems. This will advance the development of new technologies, art, and music exponentially; as well as crime. An individual will be able to do the same amount of work within a few hours, that would take present engineers and artists a few years. This is based on a Government published report reviewed by Byte magazine around 1985.
In 2006, the US Government lost $9 Billion dollars to fund what? At first it was $6 Billion, than $9 Billion, and now in 2007 it is $12 Billion dollars lost. What is being developed without our knowledge, representation, or approval? We currently have the technology available to directly control each individual as a slave, something similar to the electronic dog collar. Has the Presidential Office become so corrupt that is is to be used to impose destruction upon humanity and impose excessive control over free enterprise. Look at Iraq and the profiteering promoted by President Bush. Only a large and diverse representative ethical oversight committee can take back control from the Presidents special interest groups. The President is supposed to represent the peoples of the United States, not corporations.
Rather than promoting the multi-trillion dollar business potentials of the region, President Bush chose to allow private special interests to pocket well over $12 Billion dollars without equitable compensation to the American peoples.
The NSA maintains national security with what we would consider advanced technologies. Unfortunately, it is controlled and operated completely covertly with no legitimate public oversight and people of questionable ethical character have complete access to all information collected. This is concurrently both good and bad from a human rights point of view; an example follows.
The volume of information that the NSA processes includes everything from personal phone conversations, medical files, credit card use, pictures, genetic profiles, demographics, ... Imagine that an insurance company were able to obtain the medical files of American servicemen. Those servicemen with precursors for diabetes may have to pay significantly more for insurance, if they can get insurance at all, while the rest of the population will have to "continue" to pay the same premiums; a huge profit scenario for insurance companies, while unfairly burdening American servicemen.

An ethical oversight committee is needed to ethically manage the National Security Agency (NSA). This organization should monitor everyone for dangerous technology development and provide guideance in maintaining safe development. Even the high school janitor can be experimenting with growing molds as a hobby today and accidentally track Anthrax throughout a school system tommorrow.
Government oversight of ALL peoples of the Earth and related corporations is necessary. The need is absolute and unquestionably necessary, the consequences as shown above. However, I personally do NOT want a world as described in the book called "1984", where the Government controls our lives from birth to death.
So what can we do to ensure an Ethical maximum in personal freedom and privacy while assuring that high technology research and business practices do not enslave, maime, or destroy humanity, destroy our environment, or limit our personal freedoms that we presently fight for?
We do NOT need to give up a Freedom whenever we want to have more security !!!!!!
A system of self-balancing ethical management can be put into place to prevent the above scenarios while allowing a highly trained ethical group to monitor for extraordinarily dangerous research and destructive special interest practices. The only time an automated directive would be generated would be when a series of events showed a probable danger to our ecology, a threat to our economy, our freedoms are threatened, and/or for the survival of humanity. The NSA organization would then send agents to do a cursory review of the potentially destructive scenario and determine the level of regulation required.
The janitor growing molds in his basement might be required to expose the molds he is growing to a pet mouse to determine toxicity on a continuing basis; just an example. The research team experimenting with a new nuclear process might need to be located off-world to minimize the risk of global anihilation, or maybe postpone actual experiementation until more data can be correlated to ensure a safe test. A police officer would be given an opportunity to correct their misdeeds, pending federal intervention. The serial killer could quickly be apprehended. Kidnapped children recovered. The slave trade stopped around the world. Civil Rights maximized everywhere. The point is to do the greatest ethical good to ensure our freedoms.

Americans have Lost their Country
Iran has the same problem as we do, a regime or corporation run by a collective of people of like mind, seems to control every aspect of the Government, despite the majority of its peoples wishes.
There are many people in Iran that want the US to come in and cut the head off of the snake. A dictatorship of sorts, run by a corporate entity instead of a single human. But a snake has a long body, to make the beast ineffective, you've got to kill it, put it in a cage, change it's diet, or change the environment so that it can't survive. The structure of Irans political system, and ours, does not currently allow for anything except primal instincts.
People that surround me still use only a small portion of their brains to think, as do I, and usually allow their primal instincts to think for them. The same seems to be true in the Middle East. This is not their fault, this is simply where we are in the evolution of our species.
If all persons heavily involved with supporting this snake are identified and taken out of power by death, incarceration, or otherwise, then what? I want to help the Iranian people regain control of their Government, but what will actually have changed?
The educated or otherwise can attain an office of power, but they allow themselves to be manipulated, for greed, apparent power, and seeming security for themselves and their families. They may even think they are making a difference. Just like here in the US. Our representatives are not bad people, they just don't know what the problem really is, or what to do about it without causing their own political destruction. They currently DEPEND upon big business/corporations for support to attain power and further to support any initiatives to make any changes within their term of office. Corporations have no mortality, they press the same issues and lack of ethics year after year; corporations live beyond the deaths and terms of people.
Corporations have always controlled our Government, from the times of Andrew Jackson. Big business of their time controlled the government then, the people only thought they were democratic because it was the best form of democracy they had ever seen. Up to the present day, we know that big business controls everything, but we continue to lie to ourselves that we are a democratic society, because we don't know of a better system. We vote and have some control over local issues, but the Federal Government is controlled by Big Business mentality. Even locally, developers control what is done in local government, not the people.
If there were a better system of democracy, would you recognize it? Would you do anything to implement it? We have been taught from birth through the media that you can't fight big business, or the Government (same thing). So you have been brain-washed to be compliant. We talk, but we don't do anything. We talk, but we don't do anything. We talk, but ...
We talk about establishing a third party here as a mechanism to quell this issue of unjust leadership. But that is a falacy, the leadership is controlled by big business, they ARE the third party; the ONLY party. Corporate mentality controls all representatives regardless of declared party line. The mentality of big business is the same, regardless of organization. Greed, deregulation of its business, moving the tax burden onto others, getting something for nothing whenever possible, hinding the less powerful to promote self-interests, leveraging others assets to promote self profits, ... (people are of little concern) This is the "Creed" of Big Business, this is the "Creed" of the regime that controls the Iranian Government, this is the "Creed" of the regime that controls our Government!
So we have a choice: We instill a political system that is immune from the "Creed" as I've outlined in my blog and/or we implement ethical practices that will permeate throughout all levels of declared and undeclared corporations so this "Creed" is no longer effectual.
How do we implement ethical practices that will permeate throughout all levels of declared and undeclared corporations?
- Teaching ethics every year in all grade and college levels.
- Establishing ethical (not moral) scenarios within the media; excluding senseless market pandering.
- Newspapers delineating the "extensive" ethical relationships related to a public problem.
- Promoting thoughtful ethical critique, rather than trying to promote predjudice amongst the readership.
- Magazines tauting people of displayed good ethical quality, instead of those of financial influence and those of personable influence.
- Having the media display the complex relationships as the news at the hazard of boring the reader, instead of pandering to readership human interest stories.
- Making formal ethical evaluation a requirement for public debate.
- A speaker may lose solely upon inadequate ethical evaluation ...
- debate the grey points of contention which influence the outcome ...
And so much more ... The point here is that the American people at every level must engage their minds to control the country through the expectation of an ethical manner of thinking. Currently, those tools have only been taught to a very small percentage of the population; and fewer yet use them.
Cashiers can't even provide the correct change unless the cash register tells them. Our school system must include ethical evaluation, all peoples must not be malnurished so they can think clearly, our laws must be guided by formal ethical evaluation instead of special interests, ...
Or, we must elect a very large group of highly educated people specializing in ethical evaluation which are elected by every State to oversee and manage the collection of all information related to the United States and elsewhere in the world to create automated directives for controlling all unethical practices in the United States and elsewhere.
Other than the continued special interest regimes continuing to retain the control of the country regardless of the wishes of the American peoples, these are the only two rational choices!
