for everyone

This is not the usual article, it is more of a brain exercise. I'm trying to equate the standard of living here in the US, with that of Iraq.

A recent report shows that 0.8% of all Americans died last year; including everything from heart disease to murder.

Similarly, 1.3% of all Iraqi's died last year; including everything from heart disease to murder.

Consider that Iraq does not have any substantial health care and therefore their peacetime mortality rates will be higher than here in the US.

How significant is the war in Iraq affecting the mortality rates? Is it more media hype?

The number one killer here in the US is heart disease.

I was expecting something like 5 or 10 percent mortality in a war zone; not 0.5%. This sounds more like a police action than a war.

What are we policing? Are we trying to develop a political structure that will oppose the birthing of terrorist groups?

The political structure in Iraq promotes decent amongst the people. Most factions have zero representation. We are creating a country that will breed terrorist groups, because those factions have no other choice.

What is our Government doing in Iraq? Why are the Iraqi factions being set-up to fight against one another?

That's the problem with acting outside of ethics. A select group profits while the majority suffers.

I would like to provide Iraq with a branch in their government to ensure representation by all factions:

I received a message from one well to do Iraqi that stated I should mind my own business; all that they need to know is what the Quran provides. The Quran is apparently being used to subjegate less powerful factions into unrepresented political factions. The well to do are promoting a "If you don't support us, then you are against us" mentality.

Diverse factions need equitable representation. Politics isn't about what religious faction should control the country, it is about the standard of living for all its peoples.

American contractors are controlling the country's assets. The military are acting as police. What are the American bureaucrats doing?

What do you think the US Government Bureaucrats should be doing in Iraq?
