Perhaps the stars represent the Earth and human spirit; the diversity of colors represent the diversity of peoples, and the parallel lines represent organization.
In contemporary times the Jews, Muslims, and Christians are in a struggle. It appears the Jews just want to be left alone, the Christians are content to fight or not as simply something to do, and a faction of the Muslims in the Middle East are choosing to destroy their own societies as well as any other.
In actuality the struggle is about corrupt political power. As the organizations are propeled by Earthly resources (oil and poverty) and human spirit (corrupt politicians both in the government and terrorist leaders), the bodies of diversly different peoples are beaten against one another.
The people themselves having similar human qualities, no different than the next, regardless of organization; because as the painting shows the individual is the same in each organization, because they are unique as an individual.
The same diversity of individuals exist in each organization; religion is the contained tool by which corrupt politicians and terrorist leaders propel the people against one another to benefit their thirst for power and appease their lack of self-esteem.
To be destructive is easy; to be constructive is difficult. Ignorant leaders almost always choose destruction.
It is interesting that when ANY person dies, they know no more about God than when they were born. Yet some claim riteousness during their brief life.
Faith is a seed by which knowledge should grow. Faith in itself is not knowledge.
What is the purpose for having a Faith in God? To experience life learning how and why you would act godly if you had the opportunity to ascend to a higher existance than human. The Torah, Bible, nor the Quran can teach you what godly ways you should live and think to be worthy of ascending.
To live forever is god-like. What makes you worthy of having god-like qualities. Would God need blind followers to be useless for all time. Or does God want thinking people to benefit God's efforts for all time? What is a God-like effort. God created the heavens, Earth, and people; what have you the reader created lately?
I hope that each of you learn to create without destruction as God has done, so that you may ascend to something greater than human, and more god-like.
I suppose this painting spoke to me more than I realized.
