for everyone

Inspired by: Tet

Other than our family and friends, who else do we care enough about to suffer through each other's inner growth in life? Who else will be honest enough to deny us unrealistic expectations, and still hang around to allow ourselves to emotionally adjust?

All people have weaknesses:

  • Some we know about
  • Some we just don't see in ourselves
  • Some recur only under certain conditions

We must rely upon our family and friends to point out our weaknesses so that we become aware of them; because family remains despite our weaknesses, and friends put up with our weaknesses while we struggle to take control. Everyone else just steps around us, or upon us.

We must be strong for our family and friends; not as a cold cement wall where their words bounce off without effect. Rather a person with an open heart that:

  • accepts critique with thoughfulness
  • is an example of integrity where we ethically take action
  • mutually supportive in their own efforts to be strong

I hope that each of you have family and friends where you interactively help each other grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally.

Spiritual growth is a solitary path that each person must experience for themselves; being taught exclusion is not growth.
