Trust is based upon historical finding, while faith is a supposition to fill in holes while searching for a useful relationship.
"Absolute Faith" and "to Know" are terms created by mankind to justify a lazy mind.
There is only one universal truth that I know of, "Something Exists". All other statements fall apart under a change in the considered system. A square is not completely described by identifying four sides in 4-D space.
So because we actually know so little, we use Faith to fill in a hole in our perceptions to help us use a useful relationship. A scientist has faith in their hypothesis that graviton waves exist, even though no such measurement has as yet been made.
But when such a measurement shows that graviton waves do not exist, then the scientist will dismiss their faith and develop a new hypothesis that hopefully will lead to a useful relationship.
I don't have Faith in a pilot when I get on an airplane, I trust he will perform as he has done many times before. Trust is based upon historical observation of an observable condition.
Faith is based upon tentatively possible conjecture. Once any repeatable contradiction to faith presents itself, a new relationship must be developed to fill in an unknown variable in a distinctly new way. The same statement of faith can not be blindly used over again without modification, or that is no longer faith, it is Self-Deception.
"The greatest evil in the world is Self-Deception, because self-deception preys on the troubled soul."
Faith is a living and breathing conceptual tool to actively seek useful relationships. Faith makes it possible to take a journey in search of useful interaction in complex relationships.
The same moment that "Absolute Faith" or "to Know" occurs, is the same moment that the journey to seek Truth ends.
